AcusticJam.jpgBURKE - Many great causes happening around the Northeast Kingdom this weekend and this one was no different. Musicians and music lovers came together in West Burke for a little music and dancing.

The Burke Community Building was rocking last night with an Acoustic Jam session. The event was put on by volunteers to help raise money for the Burke senior meal site.

All of the proceeds from the food, raffles, and 50/50, went towards the overall cost of the town's meal site program, which helps feed the community seniors.

"This is to get people together so that they have good food and they don't eat by themselves. They come and eat with their friends, and it's good," says Therese Stone, a Volunteer for the event.

Just over one-hundred and sixty dollars was raised in yesterday's Jam Session. The next session will be held on November 23rd in the Burke Community Building and is open to the public.
